The new Bookstore of the NBG Cultural Institute is on the ground floor of the NBG Private Banking.The black matte granite on the floor and the wall creates a base that unifies the space. Two lines: the luminous shop-window and the linear counter, and one level: the silver wooden acoustic surface emphasize the perspective. Two semi-transparent cubes-skylights bring natural light to the central part, where the black granite wall becomes a temporary exhibition space. Flexibility becomes an important element. The linear counter, consisting of movable wooden elements accentuates the axis. In the entrance, four pivot panels/bookselves, introduce the vertical direction.
